How Often Are Creator Payouts Sent?

The payout cadence behind Brillay — Stripe's default daily rolling schedule, the weekly/monthly options a creator can pick, and why the first payout takes longer than the rest.

Get paid for this — with Brillay

Tired of a platform's payday deciding when you touch money followers already paid? On Brillay followers pay upfront, and payouts follow your own Stripe account's schedule — not a Brillay calendar.

Brillay is a link in your bio where followers pay you directly for:

Custom WorkPaid QuestionsPersonalized VideosGoalsTips

YouTube and Twitch make you reach eligibility, then clear a payment threshold, before a payday counts. Brillay has no follower minimum or sales count — the first Paid Question a follower pays for already counts toward your own Stripe payout.

No monthly fee, you only pay a small platform fee when you get paid.

Brillay doesn't run its own payout calendar. Creator payouts move through Stripe, whose connected accounts default to a daily rolling schedule — available funds are queued for transfer every business day rather than released once a month. Creators can switch to a weekly or monthly cadence from their payout settings.

For Brillay setup basics, see Brillay's pricing page and how it works.

A creator moving from a platform with a single fixed payday — the 1st of the month, or Net-15 after a threshold — often assumes every payment system works the same way. Brillay is different because there is no follower minimum or platform gate before you can start taking paid support, and creators in 41 payout countries can connect a payout account where supported.

How often does Brillay send creator payouts?

Money you earn is paid to your bank on the timing shown for your account and country, routed through Stripe.

Stripe's connected-account documentation is the place to check country- and account-specific payout behavior:

“By default, any charge you make on behalf of a connected account accumulates in the connected account's balance and is paid out on a daily rolling basis.” — Stripe, Payouts to connected accounts

Once your Brillay payout account is active and eligible, available earnings follow Stripe's standard payout timing for that account and country. There is no Brillay-set sales count or minimum audience before a creator can sell fixed-price offers or receive Tips.

What payout timing options can a creator choose?

Brillay uses Stripe payouts on the schedule available for each supported country and account status. The exact schedule options and timing can vary by supported country and account status, so creators should rely on the payout information shown for their own Brillay payout account instead of assuming every account has the same choices.

Stripe's payout documentation is useful for understanding standard payout concepts and country-specific behavior (Stripe — Receive payouts). If a schedule option or payout timing matters for planning, confirm it in the live payout information for the creator's own account instead of publishing a universal daily, weekly, or monthly promise.

The Brillay pricing page lists payouts through Stripe to the creator's account as the payout mechanism. Creator earnings follow Stripe's standard payout flow, and Instant Payouts information should be checked directly with Stripe for account eligibility (Stripe — Instant Payouts).

How long does a single payout take to arrive?

Bank transit time varies by country, bank, currency, and account status, so do not treat a single 1–2 business day estimate as a universal Brillay promise. Payout frequency is about when Stripe creates or submits a payout; arrival time is about how long that transfer takes to reach the receiving bank.

Stripe's payout-status documentation explains payout states and bank arrival timing, but the current estimate for a specific creator should come from that creator's payout account and country settings.

Two things affect when money reaches your bank: when Stripe sends it and how long your bank takes to make it available. Stripe notes that a receiving bank may take additional time to make funds available after receiving them, so creators should plan with account-specific timing rather than a universal guarantee.

Why does the first payout take longer than later ones?

Your first bank payment can take longer than later ones, so use the date shown in Brillay for your account. After the account is active and eligible, later payouts follow the standard schedule shown for that creator's payout account.

“After you successfully receive your first live payment, Stripe typically schedules your initial payout to complete within 7–14 days. It can take longer depending on your industry, country of operation, and risk level.” — Stripe, Receive payouts

Because first-payout timing can be country- and account-dependent, creators should verify the current timing for their own payout account before making cash-flow promises. A creator who finishes onboarding and makes a first sale should plan for an early gap before the normal cadence takes over.

Does the payout timing change with sale size or the platform fee?

No. The platform fee that applies to an order and Stripe's payout schedule are unrelated — one has no effect on the other. Supporters pay Tips and Goals immediately; for Paid Questions, Personalized Videos, and Custom Work, followers pay upfront and you deliver later. You can decline a request.

For the full fee breakdown, see creator platform fees explained.

Personalized Videos let a follower pay upfront for one personalized video for themselves or someone they care about: you set the price and the delivery time, then record it on your schedule. Custom Work lets you offer clearly scoped commissions and services: you set the price, the scope and the delivery time, and followers submit a brief and pay before you start. Each fixed-price, one-time offer has a defined delivery, with the price, scope and delivery time written down before anyone pays.

Does a low balance ever delay a payout?

Do not assume a US minimum balance rule applies to every Brillay creator, because payout minimums can vary by country, currency, and Stripe account rules. If a payout is delayed, check whether your payout setup is complete and review the status shown for your account; contact support before assuming audience size or sales count caused the delay.

Stripe's payout documentation discusses minimum payout amounts and country differences, so creators should check the payout information for their own account rather than using another country's floor as a guarantee. For the comparison against other platforms' minimums, see do creators need to hit a minimum before getting paid.

How does this compare to payout cadence on other creator platforms?

If you also earn through Patreon, Ko-fi, YouTube, Twitch, or Gumroad, check each platform’s current help page before assuming the money will arrive on the same day. On Brillay, creators check account-specific payout timing rather than expecting one Brillay-wide payday.

Google's AdSense Help Center, Twitch's help centre, Gumroad's help centre, Patreon's help centre, and Ko-fi's help centre each explain their own payout timing and eligibility rules (Google AdSense Help — Payment timelines). Those policies can change independently of Brillay, so use the linked sources for current details rather than assuming one creator platform's cadence applies to another.

A Stripe-standard, account-specific payout flow avoids designing around one Brillay payday, though the tradeoff is that a creator should monitor their own payout information rather than relying on a single universal calendar. Neither model is objectively better — it depends on whether a creator prefers processor-based payout timing or one consolidated platform deposit for bookkeeping. Frequently asked questions

Does Brillay pay creators daily?

Payout timing is account-specific rather than daily for every creator. Brillay routes paid earnings through Stripe's standard payout timing, and the actual timing depends on the creator's payout account and supported country.

Can a creator switch from daily to weekly or monthly payouts?

Creators should check the payout options available in their own Brillay payout account, because exact schedule choices can depend on country, currency, and account status. Brillay routes payouts through Stripe on the schedule available for each account.

Why hasn't my first payout arrived yet?

A first payout can take longer while Stripe completes account-specific checks, and the timing can depend on country, industry, and risk. After the account is active and eligible, later payouts follow the standard schedule for that payout account.

Does Brillay offer Instant Payouts?

Creator earnings follow Stripe's standard payout flow to the creator's own Stripe-connected payout account; whether that account can use Stripe Instant Payouts depends on Stripe's eligibility rules, so check it directly with Stripe.

Is there a minimum balance required before a payout is sent?

Do not assume one country's minimum applies everywhere. Stripe may apply country- or currency-specific payout minimums, so check the payout information for the creator's own account.

Tips let followers send a one-time thank-you, with nothing for you to deliver and no membership for them to join. A Goal is one named goal with a progress bar: followers make one-time contributions and every contribution is yours whether or not the goal is reached — no deadline unless you set one, and nothing to ship. These give followers a clear way to support a creator through thanks, goals, and defined offers.
