Compared by structure
How each tool is built, what Brillay does instead, and what that changes for you.
| Tool | What it is built around | What Brillay does instead, and what it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Cameo | A celebrity video marketplace: the buyer goes to Cameo, browses Cameo's roster, and the listing, the ranking and the buyer relationship belong to the platform. Your followers have to leave the app they found you in. | The request lives in your own bio link: one tap from the post they just watched opens your page, not a marketplace roster. Your page, your price, no application and no follower minimum. |
| Calendly / Zoom | A live appearance: a scheduled call for something that does not need both people online at once. | You record when it suits you and deliver inside the window you set — no call, no scheduling. |
| Patreon | A membership: a custom video becomes a monthly perk owed to a tier. | One video, one price, one delivery, with no membership for either side. |
| Ko-fi | A tip page: a video request arrives as a message rather than as a priced order with the details attached. | The request carries the names, the occasion and the details you ask for, already paid at your price. |
| Buy Me a Coffee | A tip jar built around small thank-yous rather than ordered work. | A priced video request with a delivery window you choose, on the same link as your tips. |
| Linktree / Beacons / Stan Store | Links or a storefront for products made in advance, which a personal video is not. | Nothing prepared in advance: each video is recorded for the person who asked, after they pay. |
Price
You set the price. Example: the new-creator default is $35 with a 72-hour delivery time. No monthly fee, you only pay a small platform fee when you get paid. 8% platform fee when a follower pays for work, 5% platform fee on tips and goals. Card processing is separate.
